Mechanical systems, such as chilled and heating water loops, are prone to accumulating contaminants and debris throughout the construction process and over time in operation. These contaminants can obstruct flow, reduce heat transfer efficiency, and lead to premature equipment failure. Mechanical flushing is the process of thoroughly cleaning these systems to reduce and eliminate contaminants, restoring optimal performance and efficiency. At PurgeRite, we take a comprehensive approach to mechanical flushing, using industry-leading techniques and top-of-the-line equipment to ensure thorough and complete results. Our experienced technicians carefully assess your system and determine the most appropriate flushing plan for your needs. From there, you’ll receive a custom flush plan for your unique project. We’ll then use our external pumps and filters to execute a high-velocity debris flush, chemically passivate, and add rust inhibitors. At the end of your project, expect a flush report of what was done.

This medical building remodel required over 15,000 gpm of flow to achieve the minimum velocities in the large hydronic piping. We proved to our client that hiring a third-party flushing contractor for large project is the ideal solution.

Brazoria County Courthouse

A 5-story government building needed a flush of the CHW and HW system. In order to complete the flush, our equipment had to be craned to the roof. PurgeRite coordinated the logistics with the mechanical to ensure everything went smoothly and the client was satisfied.

TMC3 Parcel C

A large medical center building needed a flush of the CHW system which included underground piping. PurgeRite was able to flush the entire system at once, and used a frac tank for additional water storage which reduced the overall time and mitigated against any flash rust.
